AspirinAspirin Aspirin isn't the BEST medicine for arthritis but it CAN be effective. There are two HARD rules. Never more than four days per week. Their intestines are too short to open the 'enteric coated' aspirin* and without buffering, stomach upset can occur. *You can rap on an enteric-coated aspirin and 'break the shell' in a pinch. But buffered really is better. This is NOT a note about Tylenol, Ibuprofen or anything OTHER than straight-up aspirin so, make no mistake. |

I prefer once-a-day dosing. If you think twice a day dosing is important, your dog is in need of better medicine. A ten pounder can have HALF an 81mg 'baby' aspirin. If ANYTHING of the above seems unclear - DO NOT USE ASPIRIN. |

This site may generate a small commission from Amazon if you order something from one of my links. It does not affect what you pay. I'm appreciative of the support because it's how I keep this site 'up' instead of bankrolling the resource. I may consider ad revenue in the future. |
