Bones for DogsThey're not all created equal: In fact, I don't recommend ANY Pork or Chicken bones at all. ONLY beef bones. Among those, knucklebones are my favorite. Internet pundits claim that a dog can fracture, even lose teeth while chewing on a bone. And guess what? THEY'RE RIGHT. Illustrated Explainer on Beef Bones But it's a low incidence and it happens all the time anyway. Dogs chewing on sticks, rocks, door jambs, turtles, and all the other crazy stuff they chew on. In fact, a dog who spends a lifetime chewing beef bones will have worn, round teeth by the time they die. Experts like breeders, retired human pharmacists, dentists, and cardiologists with 'honorary' degrees from UCDavis Veterinary School (awarded randomly, and permitting the practice of Vet Medicine including rendering advice and treatments for dogs without having ever spent even ten minutes in an exam room with a dog and owner during their whole lackluster medical career that culminates in dog food sales) - would be called lamentable tooth wear. But the owner will NEVER have paid for a dental prophy, and the dog will have ALWAYS had hard, healthy gums. So much better than the dogs whose mouths are literally rotting out. |

It can avoid vomiting episodes from a 'fat ingestion issue' by removing the excess fat from the cavity of the bone and the excess 'sinew and fat' on the baked kinds of bones. |
