Ripped Nails Sometimes a dog will tear or break a nail. Often it's the 'dewclaw' and the nail may be ripped OFF or broken. Bleeding may be a 'thing' but only for a little while.

Anti-inflammatories like Deramax, in the case so the patient doesn't have a migraine in it's foot. Sometimes it's good to 'hot soak' a foot by way of cleaning. You can put some warm water with a dash of hydrogen peroxide (3% over the counter) in a ziploc bag and hold that on the foot for about 5-8 minutes. Do that once a day at first, to remove crusting blood, or spit, or dirt. You shouldn't need to do that more than a couple days. If you wanna bandage a foot, go ahead and use a sock. Socking a foot. |
